What do you believe are the most important qualities that you need to do your job well?
First of all, my role requires that I have an in-depth knowledge of all of the island’s best restaurants, beach clubs and bars, as well as be able to advise guests about the island’s various activities and excursions.
Secondly, a multicultural background is always helpful so that you can have a better understanding of what guests’ really need and want whilst on vacation.
Last but not least, I believe that emotional intelligence is extremely important as it automatically helps you understand the needs of your guests so that you can suggest and offer them the most appropriate choices and options that you believe suit them best and which they will most enjoy.

What is the most satisfying or rewarding aspect of your job?
For me, nothing makes me happier than receiving positive feedback and kind comments from guests about the excellent level of service that I have provided during their stay.
Further to that, I would say it’s especially rewarding when guests return year after year as it means that the level of service that they have received has been a strong determining factor in them wanting to return to us.
Has anything changed in what guests want after the Covid 19 induced break from travel?
After the Covid 19 related travel restrictions were lifted, we noticed a remarkable increase in people’s desire to travel. With that being said, we are definitely seeing an uptick in our guests seeking less ‘crowded experiences than before.
What do you believe is the difference between a good concierge and a great one?
A great concierge has an almost sixth sense in terms of accurately outlining the “profile” of each guest within a few minutes of meeting them which enables him or her to provide the very best personalized experience.
