The Myconian Kyma, a proud member of the Myconian Collection Hotels & Resorts, has been featured in Architectural Digest as one of the Most Beautifully Designed Greek Island Hotels.
For the second year in a row, the acclaimed American magazine Architectural Digest has selected the Myconian Collection’s Myconian Kyma, A Member of Design Hotels as one of the stand-out hospitality properties in the country in terms of interior design, architecture and sheer beauty.
Lauding architect Galal Mahmoud’s unique take on the Cyclades color palette and iconic architectural heritage, the magazine’s feature on the Myconian Kyma highlights its laidback ‘60s vibe, impressive sea vistas from all but one of its 81 rooms and suites, as well as the clever use of marble, wood, glass and stone in the comfortable common spaces.
I have been immersed in the Cycladic culture first as a young visitor, and later as an architect.
In the architect’s own words as shared in an interview with the Myconian Collection Magazine in 2019, his vision involved “Perfect integration of the architecture into natural settings, with an emphasis on blurring the lines between inner and outer spaces” so that the hotel’s guests can “live a holistic experience that speaks to their soul and will become a milestone for them.”
