An emblematic personality of Mykonos, the poet, writer and essayist Panayotis Kousathanas turns back the clock to the time when Mykonos welcomed its first devotees.
The Municipal Public Benefit Enterprise for the Environmental and Educational Development of Mykonos, the Kousathanas Library and Municipal House of Culture and Tradition Studies and Indiktos Publications invite us to the official presentation of the complete eighth series of Panayotis Kousathanas’ Mutterings on Saturday, October 21, at 7 p.m. at the Grypario Cultural Center of the Municipality of Mykonos.
This series, the result of years of research and dedication, represents a unique literary achievement, not only for Mykonos but for all enthusiasts of culture and history. It is a work that, as a whole, constitutes an unforgettable intellectual adventure into the unknown culture and history of Mykonos. It serves as an “initiatory” journey into well-known and obscure facts about the place, written and commented upon in an engaging manner, offering enlightenment to the “forgetful historian” of the island and guidance for future researchers of Mykonian history.
Speakers at the event include Manolis Velitzanidis (Indiktos Publications), Ioanna Spiliopoulou (Philologist), Antonis Kioukas (Director), Athanasios Kousathanas (President of the Kousathanas Library and Municipal House of Culture and Tradition Studies), Michalis Asimomytis-Stais, and the author of the work, Panayotis Kousathanas.
